Rag Doll

Posted by Sarah

I'm nearly completely alive again. I only have a tiny bit of residual soreness in my legs and back. My feet, on the other hand (or foot), are still trashed. The blisters are plentiful and gross this holiday season. :) I'm optimistic that they are healing because today I could get on a semi-professional shoe for work rather than the ruffled ballet flats I've had to wear the last few days. All in all, I'm on the mend.

Last night I weeded through my vacation/race pictures and, I think, have some great shots to show you all. I can't attach them today because I don't have the load of the uploaded to Picasa, but I promise they will come soon.

Confession time- knowing myself I would have assumed after barely completing this marathon and feeling so pained and frustrated that I would want to hang up my shoes for a while and coast. Not so, it seems. It's only made me more energized and jazzed to come out and have a super fantastic marathon next year. I have decided that I only want to do 1 marathon next year. I want to get back in fantastic shape and have a good training session and do another marathon in the fall. I'll probably do a few halves in the spring. Ryan told me that he's going to get me sessions with a personal trainer for Christmas and I'M SO EXCITED about that. I need someone to scream and yell at me and make me do things in the gym that make my muscles scream. I want to be in incredible shape this time next year and for once I'm excited about the prospect of getting there. It appears I've just been slacking and going through the motions for quite some time now and I needed the butt kicking in San Antonio to push me over the edge. For that I am thankful!!! I just need my body to heal from this race and then I'm off!

I think Ryan and I are storing up food for the winter. We're pretty much eating everything in our path.

In other news the Twilight movie comes out tomorrow!!!! YEA! I don't know when I'll get to see it, but hopefully this weekend. Maybe Sunday after church. Anyone interested?

TODAY I LOVE: feeling energized and worthwhile and Edward from Twilight

That sounds like a great plan. Hope you enjoy your Christmas present too.

So glad you didn't give up on marathons. They wouldn't be the same without you.

Personal trainer sessions!! TOO COOL! I watch the Biggest Loser and always think that would be the ultimate gift - to have a workout with Jillian or Bob.

You are going to kick BUTT on your next race. Your mental fortitude is there - iron-clad and rock-hard. You just have to let your body catch up.

Yeah for Twilight too! I'm excited about it.

What are you thinking about Grey's this season? Is it me, or is that show getting a little weird?? The whole Denny thing is just a strange plotline for that show. But - I still love me some McDreamy, McSteamy and McGI Joe. :)

Take care of those feetsies hun!
