You Carried Me

Posted by Sarah

I've been so busy
I missed the reasons
I missed Your love and
I nearly missed it all
Still You've held me
And You've healed me
You've given all
And it brought me to Your cross
And I stand only because
You've given me grace to walk
Only because
You carried me
You carried me
You carried me through it all
And I believe
Yes I believe
You'll carry me all the way home
Cause mercy covers all
That is the first verse and the chorus of the Song of the Day. It was just what I needed today. On Monday Willie inadvertently reminded of a few things and for that I thank him. Why am I being such a worry-wart about things? Seriously? Am I not just completely discounting my faith, am I not walking by faith? Gosh, talk about a blow. I had to do some seriously soul-searching and praying last night. I need to give all that stuff up. It's not good for anybody especially me. So thank you, Willie. Thank you for reminding me of my optimism. I needed that. :)
I'm so excited about my vacation. I wish it would get here already! I have been working a lot of hours at work lately and I'm exhausted and need a break. It's going to feel more like it's getting closer today because I'm getting my hair done today. I'm not going to promise anything, but hopefully when I leave the shop people will be shocked at my boldness. If it turns out the way I want it to, I'll post a picture. :)
Tomorrow night Ryan and I are doing the Run to the Lights in Silver Dollar City. It is a 5K run that starts at 10pm at night. It is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. The entire park is lit up with Christmas lights, there is Christmas music going, and after the race you get free cookies, hot chocolate, and wassail (my favorite)! The run is actually in the park through the lights. It puts me in the best mood. That will be my official start of vacation!
I'm super excited about the upcoming marathon. This is going to be a challenge for me, but as I told my friend Addie last night- it's really a win-win any way around (well, unless I can't finish). If I finish with a poor time- I still finished after only doing 3 training runs in the 12-weeks prior to the race! If I finish with a not too bad time- I got a good time after only doing 3 training runs in the 12-weeks prior to the race!! LOL! See what I mean!? Now, I just have to finish. That is the key. I didn't say it was going to be pretty. I'm also super excited that I finally get to meet Jen and her husband. She is the coolest online lady and I can't wait to meet her in person.
It looks like it is going to be an awesome Grey's tonight! Stay tuned!
TODAY I LOVE: pomegranate acai juice and new hairdo

Ok I think you're giving me much more credit than I deserve. If I caused you to pray it was completely inadvertent. God hasn't used me for things like that in a long time.

Glad you sound more relaxed though. Can't wait to hear about the marathon.

The 5K sounds wonderful. What a great idea to run through the park at night with the Christmas lights on! I love this season and that would be wonderful.

Starbucks brought out the red Christmas cups already! Yea! Christmas rocks!
