27 Jennifers

Posted by Sarah

I can't believe I'm going on vacation and running a marathon next week. That's pretty amazing. I'm nervous. I'm nervous about nearly everything. I'm nervous about the drive to Texas because traffic stresses me out and I know we have to go through Dallas. I'm really nervous about the race. Ugh.

I hate the week before you go on vacation. It is a week filled with massive amounts of work. Work to get you caught up, work to get you ahead, emergency work (that just-in-case type of work), and the work to do so that nobody else in the job place has to do for you because they will remind you of it. I'm preparing myself for missed lunch hours and late nights this week. At least I have a job, I have to keep reminding myself of that.

I honestly haven't done much running since the half marathon. I think I've ran twice since then? I'm to the point now of not doing anything to try not to re-injure myself before Texas. This Sarah is going to have to have a complete physical re-evaluation post-race. In 12 weeks I have lost all muscle definition that I gained last winter. I have gained a nice layer of plumpness over my pretty muscles. Ah well. Not to think of it now. I have enough stress to worry about with the upcoming traffic and marathon nervousness.

Well....time to get on that work.

Have a great day everyone!

TODAY I LOVE: chocolate milk and my new jeans (that need altered)

OK - I'll be nervous with you! That way we won't have to be nervous alone. Heee.... I'm trying to take it slow and easy to give my knees and ankles a breather. I'm so scared of injury right now after all this training. Ack!

Don't worry about your body. You are such a work-out queen that when you're ready, your muscle definition will bounce back quicker than you anticipated.

You sure do worry a lot for such an upbeat person. Not that it's a bad thing, just interesting. Please try to relax and enjoy your vacation and, oh yea, YOUR MARATHON! I know it's not your first but it's still a great challenge and soon to be accomplishment.

Have a safe trip and be sure to write.
